25 “And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.” (Ex 20:25)
God did not want human skill or labor to pollute something He has given or made. To many times do we defile or pollute what God has given us.
Take the Word of God for example, look at those that twist, alter, and amend it to fit what they want to hear. Tickle the ears so to speak. This is due to someone not wanting to admit what they are doing is wrong, and would rather make their selves look righteous rather than submit their selves to the Word of God.
How about the female and male body; man has taken this and defiled, polluted, and corrupted it into a profitable form of destruction. Such violation of God’s gift can and will destroy lives, relationships, families, church’s and more.
There are many more things man touches and it turns to ruin. It just shows that we can not improve something that is perfect! Only destroy it!
A few names of the tools we use; pride, ego, self-admiration, self-conceit, self-glory, vainess, vanity, contributes to corruption.
That is why it is important to throw away the tools, and fall upon our knees in humility, and accept the Lord Jesus and rest in Him alone.
